Women's Perspectives on their Menopause

We are currently conducting an interview-based study focusing on women's perspectives on their menopausal journey.

We understand that no one's transition into menopause is the same, and so the purpose of this study is to learn about women’s unique experiences as they move through each stage – from perimenopause to post-menopause. Your personal journey will help us gain a better understanding of women’s access to symptomatic care, knowledge of menopausal symptoms, and how this affects your quality of life.

Eligible Participants

We are currently recruiting participants ages 40 - 60 that find themselves anywhere in their transition through menopause (whether that is peri-menopausal, menopausal, or post-menopausal).

If you choose to participate in the study, you will be asked to complete a brief demographics questionnaire and take part in an interview conducted over Zoom. This interview will be audio and video recorded and will take approximately 30–45 minutes. The interview will ask about your personal experience with the menopause transition.

To sign-up

You can use the link below to be taken to our screening form and enter your contact information. If eligible, you will be contacted by a research assistant for more information or to sign up for your brief zoom interview.

Screening Form

For any immediate questions, you can contact our lab at mindbody@baylor.edu

Compensation

Participants that complete the interview will receive a complimentary 7-week subscription to the Evia app after completing the interview. The Evia app is equipped with educational resources on menopause and provides a hypnotherapeutic intervention targeting several menopause-related symptoms, including hot flashes and night sweats, improving sleep quality, and reducing stress.
This compensation is provided solely for your time and contribution to the research and does not imply any obligation or continued participation with the app.
